I retired from the United States Coast Guard as a Telephone Technician 3rd Class Petty Officer. My wife , our dog Spike and we currently have a Coachmen Beyond and a No Boundries 19.1 travel trailer. We enjoy traveling and seeing our great country. I also do reviews on many of the items we buy.

This is currently the best RV power cord that I know of. It offers a better electrical connection, reducing poor power connections. Poor connections can cause high resistance and arcing, both can produce excessive heat.

Great idea. I have the same problem with my bike rack and now I have a solution. Who was Spike's buddy there? Did I miss a new addition to the family? Benji passed away last October and we really miss him.

Great video! Thanks you guys. We took our couch out of our 22C and installed a platform bed with 8” thick mattress. We also had room to install two sliding drawers under the bed and above the battery modules. They are mainly the length of the bed from front to back. Then we installed a second 600 ah battery module. Now we have 1200 ah. This was done to our 2021 Coachman Beyond 22C. Please let us know how you compare the Truma AC to your 12 volt AC when you get the chance to look at that. Thanks again! Love your videos!

So I have the Nova 20D hybrid. I plan on using the lithionics long-term storage procedure for 4-5 months over the winter, but I still have to exercise the generator under load every month. Do I exercise the generator while the van is still in store mode, or do I put the van in use mode to exercise the generator? If I have to put the battery in use mode every month to exercise the generator, then I will never really be using the long-term storage procedure will I? Very confusing.
Those are really good questions. The Hybrid is so new that I haven't had any personal experience with it. I would contact Coachmen and ask the. Or post the question in the Nova Facebook group.
Where do you lose the space in the 22C for the double lithium? are they stacked one behind the other or are they installed next to each other? Would there be still enough room in the back to pack everything you are taking now? Wish I could go to Hershey !!! Enjoy and make more videos for us!!! Thanks!
That is the only drawback. They both go under the sofa, side by side. You do lose valuable cargo space. There will still be some space, not sure how much.
@@CampingCoastie , side by side is not as bad, lose that "corner".
dang it... we have a 22d on order now and thought we were fine with the standard lithium... but with 3 little pups you have me thinking I need to call up there and see where we are in production and see if we can add on the double pack! Do ya'll think its definitely a great addition for the cost? We live in South Texas and takes us 6- 8 hours to get outta the state in any direction!
Personally, I think it's an amazing addition and would get it in a heartbeat. Deb and I have been going back and forth about replacing our Beyond with a new 22C Li AWD 1260AH model. If you want it, call Coachmen and ask. They might be able to change the order. Let me know how it goes.

This was a great explanation of systems, thanks. Does Coachmen put double lithium in both the C and RB models? We love the idea of more battery power for more freedom of travel.
I believe it's only in the C so far. They have to arrange components to fit the extra battery. It's a big battery.

That brisket looks dryer than the Sahara Desert!!
It looked dry, but it was dry. I have had dry brisket, which is rough. I have also had brisket, so wet it made me think it was cooked in a crock pot.

@patrickmckowen2999 We had a leaking front window when we took it out on our first trip. The door striker plate needed to be adjusted. There was a recall on the suspension to tighten some bolts. Other than that, it has been pretty good for us.

Having the same problem, but it's been sitting, so the transmission was not hot... ? But it's doing the exact same thing as yours... I have a Tiffin Sprinter 3500, 2017 sprinter... Any suggestions...
I don't know. Mine only happened when the van had been driven for a couple of hours.

I'm plugged into 50service at a rv park What should that be set at Pretty new to the xantrex system I have it set at ps15a but dont think that enough for what I'm plugged into Thanks

In 2024 I have a 2005 with same paint and bags, stock windshield. Yours looks better. I love it and I have a Mustang seat and the V and H pipes. It roars. I cant get enough of riding that fire breathing beast. I feel Valerion. Riding the Dragon.

I am really glad I replaced my previous RVs that were Sprinter based with a Ford Transit based Class B.

Does your pull down on the doors- pulling the alignment down on the door that is holding the bike racks.
@lynseyanya I gave up on using the bike rack because we now have e bikes. Even before that, I was worried about the weight of the bikes. I took the bike rack apart and made a lightweight cargo box to carry hoses and other light stuff.
I have that same problem I have a new 2023 and it started to do a few week after driving it .. do u know where the leaf coming from can u make a video .
@@dr92607 It's pretty hard to video where the drain tube is. Pretty much in the center of the firewall left to right. It's down low, just above where the transmission is. I have tried to film it but can't get a camera in there because of how everything is located there.
Best be careful with loading cargo, water etc with slightly less than 900 pounds of carrying capacity.

I have one in my Beyond with GPS, one in my camper with GPS and an older one in my camper without GPS. I don't mind paying for the monthly fee, I know that my dog is safe, plus if one of them gets stolen, I can tell the police where it's located.

Good info. & demonstration. People need to remember their Beyond could be a different measurement depending on what A/C unit they have outside on top. As I understand the A/Cs are not all the same dimensions.
Coachmen on the website says they are 9' 11".

Good video. My 2022 Beyond has the Premier 12 volt A/C, which measures 9’9”, overall height. I noticed you have room for a cover on your vent fan. My A/C unit is too close to the Max Air fan vent to install a cover. Just wondering if there is a vent cover out there that is made to fit with the Premier 12 volt A/C.
I don't know about the fit with a Premier Air, but I had a ProAir that the Truma just replaced. I was able to mount a MaxAir fan cover on my fan. It was close, but it fit.
You need to add a level to the top of that stick to get an accurate measurement. You can see the bend in the stick.
I remeasured it with a level like you suggested. It came back one inch higher.

@@CampingCoastie , I know but Coachmen does not update so many of the details on their site and the height has stayed the same with all 3 air conditioners so I really have been curious on what the real height is ( add an inch or two for good measure, LOL).

Terry doesn’t want the potential liability of non-essential roof penetrations. While every other RV builder has ‘solved the mystery’ of reliably sealed rooftop attachments, Terry hasn’t yet.
@DF-sq3mw Thanks. I guess I will cross this one off my list. Solar definitely seems like something I want for boondocking. It had potential, because I like the dry-flush toilet.
